ACCORDING to Wikipedia, Monalisa is a half-length portrait of a woman by the
Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci, which has been acclaimed as "the best
known, the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most
parodied work of art in the world" and the painting, thought to be a
portrait of Lisa Gherardini, the wife of Francesco del Giocondo.
Nowdays parents name their daughters ‘Monalisa’. Is common in Tanzania
to hear a lady name ‘Monalisa’.
Other use ‘Monalisa’ as a.k.a’s forexample Ivon Cheryl is Tanzanian
Actress, producer, radio presenter, director and script writer. She’s one of
the popular actresses in Tanzania.
Her astonishing looks and style is just lovable. She has won many
awards like Best Actress in Tanzania, Best Actor in 2010 at Zanzibar
International Film Festival.
In 2008 Monalisa won Queen of Bongo Film, In 2012 she won Best Actress
in Tanzania by BaabKubwa Magazine; and Best Actress in Filamu Centrale among
others.
So I met with her by the first time on 16th July 2015 at Dar
es Salaam. I felt happy to meet with her.
