To get the opportunity to attend one to three days workshop somewhere
for increasing knowledge, is pleasure. That’s why the legends
have many sayings about it, among is Learn to enjoy every minute of your life.
... Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure,
loyalty, and persistence. ...The Indian actress and model Tena Desae says, “Stay
positive and happy. Work hard and don't give up hope. Be open to criticism and
keep learning. Sorround yourself with happy, warm and genuine people.” On
October 31-November 2, 2018 I was in Morogoro surrounded by genuine people. These were journalists. I learnt a lot from them. I
appreciate Legal and Human Rights Centre (LHRC) for conducting a seminar. I was
lucky.
So, to show my appreciation I have written a featuring story about
the seminar held at Moro Hotel. Brief about it: LHRC: Tanzania Human Rights facilitator
Author Dr. Helen Kijo-Bisimba
in her book 'Human Rights Guide' of 2014 gives the definition of Human Rights
as the right to every human being or worthy to have as being human. Also in the
translation on page 13 writes Human Rights does not depend on or release by
legal document. These rights are natural, human beings are born and therefore
must be recognized and respected.
HISTORY OF HUMAN RIGHTS
In human history it has been
noted that many societies recognized and appreciated the human rights. This is
before even these rights are written or pronounced in international agreements
or laws. On the other hand, acts of violence, violence, and cruelty existed in
many societies around the world. And this made some communities rise and claim
human rights when they were being violated or not implemented. History reflects
the initial efforts made by some communities in the development of human rights
in order to be effectively implemented. These efforts have been the basis for
the writing of various human rights treaties. The Magna Carta document for the
first time was written in 1215 by King John of England with his associate
Stephen Langton, the Greater Canterbury.
