It was a crisp, sunny afternoon when Johnson, a sense of bittersweet nostalgia dancing in the air. After two years at the company (IPP Media-East Africa Television), today was the day he would say his goodbyes. The street walk with EATV microphone and logo, once cold and corporate, now seemed to hum with memories of the laughter, the late nights, the challenges, and the little victories. Every desk had a story, every coffee break an inside joke.
As Johnson walked through the glass doors, he couldn't help
but smile. The day was bright with the hues of early spring—green leaves
unfurling, sky as clear as a promise, and the sun casting long, golden shadows
on the ground. It felt like the perfect day to step into something new, but
that didn’t make the farewell any easier.
“The past two years have been a whirlwind—tough at times, yes, but always rewarding. You guys have made work feel like more than just... well, work,” wrote by Johnson.
As Johnson thanked a Chief Editor Mr. Barnabas Mkongwe he
ended the phone and pushed open the door
and stepped outside of his room, the world felt a little bigger. The blue sky
stretched on endlessly, and the city, full of bustling energy, seemed to
welcome him with open arms. The future was uncertain, yes, but it was also
bursting with potential. The farewell was a beautiful stroke of closure, but it
wasn’t an end—just a colorful transition to something new.
